Since 2021 I've been researching security on random video chat platforms. I have a computer science background, but it was pure curiosity and a few unpleasant Omegle experiences that steered me toward bot analysis, phishing detection, and moderation systems. At OmeDreams I handle cybersecurity-related content: how to spot a bot, how not to get scammed, what data can be extracted from your camera feed, and how to protect yourself. Every guide I write is based on testing a given platform on at least 3 different devices with various VPN configurations. I also maintain my own database of known botnets operating on video chat sites. My goal is simple: help users feel safer by knowing exactly what to expect.
