What OmeDreams is
OmeDreams is a small, independent publication focused on one topic: random video chat. After Omegle closed in November 2023, the space splintered into dozens of platforms with very different rules, audiences and levels of moderation. Reliable, plain-language information about them is surprisingly hard to find — most of what exists is either marketing copy or recycled lists. We started OmeDreams to do it differently.
We publish three kinds of content: platform guides that explain how a service actually works, comparisons that weigh real trade-offs between platforms, and safety and privacy articles written for adults who want to enjoy random chat without unnecessary risk.
What OmeDreams is not
- We are not a chat platform. There is no video chat, no user accounts and no user-uploaded media on this site.
- We are not affiliated with OmeTV, the former Omegle, or any service we write about. Brand names are used only to identify the platforms being discussed.
- We do not sell rankings. Commercial relationships, where they exist, are disclosed on the page where they appear and never change an editorial verdict.
How we work
Before we write about a platform, we use it ourselves on desktop and mobile. We check claims about rules, age requirements and data handling against each platform's own published terms and privacy documents. Articles carry a last-reviewed date, and when a platform changes its pricing, features or policies, we update the existing guide rather than publish a near-duplicate.
If you spot a mistake in any article, tell us — verified errors are corrected promptly and noted in the article itself.
Who is behind the site
OmeDreams is written and maintained by the OmeDreams Editorial Team — a small group of writers and editors who have spent years using, moderating discussions about, and writing about online chat communities. We keep the team page deliberately simple: no inflated bios, no invented credentials. What we stand behind is the method described above and the accuracy of what we publish.
Operator information. OmeDreams operates as a digital-only editorial website and does not publish a public physical office address. Official correspondence is accepted by email at contact@omedreams.com.
A note on audience
The platforms we cover are intended for adults, and so is this site. Our content is written for readers aged 18 and over. If you are looking for guidance on minors' online safety, please consult dedicated child-safety organizations rather than this site.
