Where these guidelines apply

These guidelines cover comments on articles (where enabled), email correspondence with our team, and any feedback channels we operate. They do not govern third-party chat platforms we write about — each platform has its own rules, which you should read before using it.

The standard, in one line

Talk to us — and about others — the way you'd want a stranger to talk to you on camera: direct is fine, hostile is not.

What's welcome

• Corrections, counter-arguments and first-hand experiences with platforms we cover;
• Questions about safety, privacy and platform behavior;
• Tips about platform changes we should re-verify;
• Honest criticism of our articles — it makes them better.

What gets removed

• Harassment, hate speech, threats or doxxing of any person;
• Sexually explicit material or links to it — this is an editorial site and comments must be safe-for-work;
• Any content that sexualizes minors or solicits contact with minors — this is removed immediately and reported to the appropriate authorities;
• Spam, link schemes, undisclosed promotion and impersonation;
• Sharing other people's private information, screenshots of identifiable strangers from chat sessions, or recordings made without consent.

A note on recordings and screenshots

People on random chat platforms have not consented to being published. Do not post identifiable images or recordings of other chat users anywhere on this site, even to illustrate a complaint. Describe the situation in words instead.

Moderation and appeals

Comments may be held for review before publication. We remove content that breaks these guidelines and may block repeat offenders. If you believe something was removed in error, email contact@omedreams.com with a link to the article and a short explanation.

Reporting serious concerns

Safety-related reports about content on this site go to safety@omedreams.com. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — we are a publication and cannot provide emergency assistance.
