1. The short version

OmeDreams is a read-only editorial website. We don't operate user accounts, we don't host video chat, and we don't ask you to upload anything. The data we handle is limited to what a typical website receives when you visit it, plus anything you choose to send us by email.

2. Data we collect

• Server logs. Like virtually all websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical data: IP address, browser type, requested pages, referring URL and timestamps. Logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are retained only as long as operationally necessary.
• Analytics. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand which articles are read. We do not build individual visitor profiles and we do not sell or rent visitor data to anyone.
• Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond and to maintain a record of the correspondence.
• Comments. If commenting is enabled on a post, the name, email and comment text you submit are stored by our WordPress installation and shown according to the form's labels.

3. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for basic site functionality and, where applicable, analytics. Details, categories and your control options are described in our Cookie Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site remains readable without them.

4. Third-party services

Our hosting provider, CDN and analytics tooling may process technical data on our behalf as service providers. We do not authorize them to use visitor data for their own marketing. Articles may embed links to external websites; once you leave OmeDreams, the destination site's privacy policy applies, and we encourage you to read it — especially for chat platforms, which handle far more sensitive data than a blog does.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process technical log data on the basis of legitimate interest (site security and operation), analytics on the basis of consent or legitimate interest depending on configuration, and email correspondence on the basis of legitimate interest in responding to you.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@omedreams.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Data retention

Server logs are kept for short operational windows. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle the matter and meet legal obligations, then deleted. We don't maintain marketing databases of readers.

8. Children

This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us personal data, contact privacy@omedreams.com and we will delete it.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to our systems is limited to the people who operate the site. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we keep our attack surface small by design: no accounts, no payment processing, no user media.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
